If the title appears cryptic: this is the television tower in Frankfurt a.M. and the locals call it “Spargel” (asparagus, or in the dialect of the area: shparshel). I have yet to find out why.

I think it’s because of it’s shape. Well, it’s tall and thin. And to the south of Frankfurt ist asparagus growing country. However, except for the hint of the right shape I do not see any similarity. But maybe that’s just me.
